After almost a week of keeping the news under wraps, Kim Kardashian broke the news to People magazine today: she and her basketball player beau Kris Humphries are engaged. Kim told People that Kris proposed on bended knee with “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” written in rose petals beside him. Humphries then presented his lady love with a ludicrously huge, 20.5 carat diamond ring supposedly worth $2 million to seal the deal (for an indicator, that’s almost half the size of the famed Hope Diamond, which weighs in at 45.52 carats). Reckoning that Kris is 6’9″ and Kim’s famous for the girth of her gluteus maximus, apparently only the largest of rings would do!
